Tamara Burton has always been a Kansas resident. Tamara grew up in Lawrence, graduating from the University of Kansas with a degree in Human Development. She then furthered her education in the Greater Kansas City area with a degree in Occupational Therapy. Deciding to change direction, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 10 years. In 2011, Tamara and her family moved to Manhattan, making it their forever home.
Once settled in Manhattan, Tamara decided to pursue a career as a real estate sales agent. She has expertise in new construction and investment properties, having been a part of her family business, Switchgrass Development, for the past six years. Architectural and interior design have always been a hobby and, as a sales agent, Tamara enjoys advising her clients on design.
Tamara understands the stresses of relocating with small children and finding that special home that meets all of a family’s needs. Tamara strives to make the home buying and selling process fun and simple for her clients, focusing her efforts towards helping her clients find peace of mind.
Tamara is a member of the Manhattan Association of REALTORS®, is an active board member of the Friends of the Sunset Zoo, and is a Junior Founder of Colbert Hills Golf Course.
Tamara’s husband, Ben, is the owner of Switchgrass Development in Manhattan. The Burtons have two children.
