Angela Blankenau

Award - April 2021 E2

School: Bergman Elementary
Position: Kindergarten Teacher

Angela Blankenau teaches Kindergarten at Frank V. Bergman Elementary School, where she impacts the lives of so many young minds daily. While she didn’t originally intend to become a teacher, after a push from her mother and a year overseas teaching English to high school girls, she knew that teaching was her calling. Mrs. Blankenau wants every student to remember her classroom as a place where they had fun and felt safe. She also knows that a good kindergarten experience can make a long-term difference in students' development, so she wants to give them everything they need to be successful. Watch the video to learn more about Mrs. Blankenau and about how she cannot imagine doing anything else.
