2 iPads and iPencils & Procreate for them borth these ipads will be used by all students in Art. Every student will have the opportunity to work with these ipads to help them develop their skills in art through the use of various Apps and programs. In the Intro to Art class, students will be able to use the ipads and pencils to develop their drawing skills in procreate by directly drawing, digitally on photographs of still lives that we have been using in class. This will give students a better understanding of drawing principles such a foreshortening, shading, perspective, contour drawing, line quality, etc. In the Design Fundamentals class, students will be able to develop their design portfolio, explore design concepts and develop their hand lettering/font design skills with ease and efficiency, this will also allow them to develop their own personal logo and product designs. their In the Studio Productions class, students would be able to develop their digital drawings and multi-media approaches to art making, this allows for more depth in their art portfolios (for art school applications) as well as deepening their knowledge of expanded media in art. In the Project Management class, students will be able to develop digital pieces for their project proposals for clients and collaboratively brainstorm efficiently. These iPads, iPencils and procreate programs will have a long term impact on students by allowing them to get their hands on cutting edge technology to develop more in depth relationships between analog and digital processes in art. They will be able to leave high school with knowledge of using programs that thousands of artists and industry professionals already know and understand.
