Position: BLAST Program Coordinator

I believe that Iliana is extremely deserving of this reward. I work directly with her everyday and see the impact that she makes not only on the students at Bergman but the staff as well. She is always willing to help out anyone that comes into her office without hesitation whether they need to coordinate about with BLAST or needing a translation. She will go above and beyond to make sure that you are prepared and taken care of. She is the coordinator for the before and after school program, BLAST for the Bergman students. She is always thinking of new and exciting ways to have students learn. We currently have a theatre and a robotics clubs and we are adding new clubs as the year progresses and she sees the need. Many of the students that come to BLAST are students that at -risk and Iliana tries so hard to make sure they are being taken care of academically and keeps communication with their families. She helped coordinate how to help a Bergman family that experienced a tragedy and made sure that had everything they needed. She checks in on her staff and wants everyone to be successful. We have many students that tell us that BLAST is there favorite place to be and that's because of the hard work and dedication of Iliana Bezares. It's truly inspiring to be able to work with her every day.
