In the elementary music classroom, students explore, create and perform music. This may be done through a variety of instruments, singing, and movement activities. I am requesting help to fund our Theodore Roosevelt classroom with hand drums that can be used by students to explore, create and perform music. These drums will be used in all grade levels and will help support eye-hand coordination and motor skills, support the rhythmic concepts within the music curriculum, increase communication and speech, develop social skills, support emotional needs and impulse control, improve self-esteem and most importantly to have fun!
