I am looking to support my students with sensory/calming tools to support their social emotional learning. These items would be used in my calm corner, used by students when they need a break to regain focus and attention for their learning. Some of these tools will be used at individual seats for sensory and focus. These tools would have a long term impact on my students' social emotional learning to help them gain understanding about the importance of their social emotional learning can impact their general education, if they are not able to regulate their emotions. I am hopeful teaching my students these skills now will provide them with a life long strategies. Lastly, by providing my students with calm corner opportunities, my goal is for them is to build skills for self regulation and positive self talk.
